Artists sought for Artsapalooza Art Market

New featuring coming to Strawberry Festival in downtown Kokomo

Artists and makers are invited to take part in the new Artsapalooza Art Market at the Kokomo Strawberry Festival.

Guests enjoy strawberry shortcake on the courthouse lawn during the Strawberry Festival. The event attracts around 7,000 people annually.

Set for 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 3, in downtown Kokomo, the rain-or-shine festival attracts around 7,000 people annually and features strawberry shortcakes as well as food trucks, vendor booths, live music, and free children’s activities.


New this year, the Artsapalooza Art Market will feature fine arts and crafts as well as engaging art demonstrations by artists, makers and nonprofit organizations.

Local and national artists are encouraged to apply.

The market also seeks professional and emerging artists who provide demonstrations for an immersive arts experience for festival-goers.


COST: The cost for 10’X10’ booth space is $80. Double booth spaces are available by request. Indoor restrooms, refreshments and free parking will be available to invited artists.

DATES: Applications, which will be reviewed by an artist jury, are due by Sunday, May 15. Selected artists will be notified May 17, and payment of booth space will be due by May 24.

SET-UP/TEAR DOWN: Day of event set-up will be 8 to 10 a.m., with cars to be out of the festival area by 10 a.m.  All trailers and booth items must depart the festival grounds by 10 p.m.
