KIDS CAN PLAY ALL DAY AT THE KOKOMO STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
Families will find plenty to explore during the Kokomo Strawberry Festival, with two designated kids activity areas packed with free fun throughout the day and evening.
From bouncing and climbing to hands-on activities and community demonstrations, the festival offers something for kids of all ages. Both kids zones will feature face painting stations, giving children multiple opportunities to add a little extra color and creativity to the day. Bounce houses will also be set up for nonstop energy-burning fun.
Young shoppers can browse kid-focused boutiques and vendors offering toys, accessories, treats, and more. Around the festival grounds, many vendor booths will also feature free activities, giveaways, and interactive experiences designed especially for children.
Several local organizations will bring hands-on activities and demonstrations to the festival. CrossFit Kokomo will host kid-friendly fitness activities that encourage movement and play, while DADCAMP will offer activities geared toward family fun and engagement.
Kids will also have the opportunity to meet local first responders and explore emergency vehicles up close. The Kokomo Police Department plans to have its SWAT truck on site from 5 to 9 p.m., along with possible appearances from a police cruiser. Officers will hand out prizes for kids and give families a chance to interact with local law enforcement in a fun, welcoming environment.
Outside the designated kids areas, the Kokomo Fire Department will offer additional family-friendly experiences, including giveaways and stickers for children. Families can also get an up-close look at an ambulance, meet firefighters, and ask questions about emergency response equipment and vehicles.
While many activities throughout the festival are completely free, families will also find optional paid experiences around the event. One featured attraction is Urban Bear Den, where kids can participate in a build-your-own stuffed animal experience and create a keepsake to take home.
