Make Your Home In Downtown Kokomo
Kokomo’s downtown is thriving. And with such a vibrant atmosphere downtown, many are choosing to make it their home. The downtown area continues to grow with new housing options and businesses, making it easier than ever to find your place in downtown Kokomo.
Living downtown has its advantages. There are miles of walking and biking paths that connect the center of town with parks and attractions throughout the community. With a unique blend of locally owned restaurants and shopping nearby, two free public parking garages, the free City Line Trolley public transportation system, and a highly walkable downtown core, you’ll get a variety of “big city” amenities in a “small town” atmosphere.
Visit Downtown Attractions
Art and music are at the heart of the downtown experience. Whether you appreciate traditional arts, modern arts or public art, it’s all here for you to find. You’ll find live music at the outdoor amphitheater in Foster Park, the Riverwalk Amphitheater, the Rain Garden Plaza or nearby at the Rhum Academy of Music.
Several downtown establishments are also part of the live music scene in downtown Kokomo, including The Coterie and American Dream Hi Fi.
Downtown Kokomo is a haven for boutique shopping. You’ll find timeless treasures at boutiques such as P.F. Hendricks, Cova & Co On Mulberry, Be Belle Boutique, Blye’s Bridal Loft and Annmarie’s. For a retro shopping experience, stop in at Kokomo Toys & Collectibles for vintage toys. Stop next door at American Dream H Fi for vintage vinyls and eclectic art, and find a wide selection of used books at Chapter 2 Books.
You’ll find upscale, chef-inspired dining at Marble the Steakhouse and a variety of casual fare at favorites like Missy’s Family Restaurant, The Foxes Trail and Main Street Café. Looking for something outside American cuisine? Try Oscar’s Pizza, 3 Amigos Mexican Restaurant or Cook McDoogal’s Irish Pub.
Looking for a marshmallow soda? Check out Jamie’s Soda Fountain. Want to wash it all down with cocktails and local brews? A visit to Sun King Brewery and The Coterie are in order.
