Downtown Kokomo is the epicenter of activity for our community. With plenty of places to shop, eat, drink and gather, downtown Kokomo offers something for everyone.
FIRST FRIDAY KOKOMO
Downtown Kokomo – Courthouse Square, The Depot District, and more… 
Select first Fridays 
5:30 – 9 p.m., except for June when Strawberry Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
On 7 Fridays in 2023, the community will gather for this arts-based, open house tour of beautiful downtown Kokomo. Each month features a theme with
downtown venues catering their activities to the theme. Visitors to the downtown area during the event will find discounts and activities at shops and restaurants, and live music, public art, family-friendly activities & more.
Events are 5:30 to 9 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
A resident and visitor favorite! Head downtown for delicious strawberry shortcakes, berry-themed treats, live music, kids’ activities, food and beverage vendors, and more.

HAYNES APPERSON FESTIVAL

Celebrate Kokomo’s heritage and Independence Day with the annual Haynes Apperson Festival. Each year, this festival brings live entertainment, carnival rides, food, a car show, fireworks, a parade and so much more to downtown Kokomo.

GUS MACKER 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
Downtown Kokomo

Gus Macker returns to downtown Kokomo in late August. This two-day tournament pits teams of three against each other on courts set up around the courthouse square. Teams of all ages are invited to register now for this year’s tournament.
