KEEP KOKOMO BEAUTIFUL

Bringing natural beauty to downtown

This Greater Kokomo Downtown Association initiative is
where community pride takes root and blossoms all summer long.

Because a beautiful downtown starts with all of us.

Each summer, downtown Kokomo bursts into color thanks to the hundreds of flower baskets, planters, and gardens that line our streets. Behind that beauty is the power of community — neighbors, businesses, and local groups coming together through Keep Kokomo Beautiful, an initiative of the Greater Kokomo Downtown Association.

Since 2015, volunteers have helped plant thousands of flowers that brighten our city and make downtown a more welcoming place to live, work, and visit. From hanging baskets and sidewalk planters to park gardens and alleys, every bloom is a symbol of community pride — and it all starts with volunteers like you.

Get Involved

Whether you’re part of a business team, a community group, or just someone who loves seeing Kokomo thrive, you’re invited to join the fun. It’s a hands-on way to connect with others, give back, and make an immediate, visible impact on your city.

Why It Matters

These flowers don’t just add color — they help create the warm, vibrant atmosphere that draws people downtown. Visitors from across the region — and even national programs like John McGivern’s Main Streets — have noticed how Kokomo blooms with creativity and community spirit.

Join us in keeping Kokomo beautiful, one flower at a time.
